Life's Little Messes/Avoiding Laundry Detail

Princess magnets reside on our fridge because our in-house princess insists that they should never be taken off.  At any given time, matchbox cars appear on random windowsills around the house because a little boy with a big racing dream - and an even bigger dream of being like his Daddy - thinks windowsills make great racetracks.  A jumperoo has taken up precious real estate in our living room so that our littlest can jump to his heart's content...or now that he's mobile, so that we can place him in it to contain him when our arms need a break from moving him away from the pantry, the stove, the tv stand, the toilets, the closets, the cabinets...

My purpose in writing the above - I just don't want to forget how thankful I am that these "messes" represent life in this house.  I really like my fridge with few magnets, my windowsills clean, my living room free of clutter...but, I will take what I have now over that any day.

With that, for tonight, I choose to ignore the mountain of dirty laundry just begging to be washed and baskets of clean laundry longing to be folded and placed in the proper place.  If messes represent life...our laundry room will live forever. ;)
